What is YouthIN?
YouthIn: Working for an inclusive international solidarity
YouthIn was launched in 2024 with support from the European Union. It brings together four European non-profit partners who are working to tackle a major challenge: strengthening the authentic participation of young people in international solidarity initiatives.
Our approach
The YouthIn project has created an intercultural digital toolkit of resources on youth inclusivity and participation in international solidarity organisations. This platform serves as a bridge between theory and practice by offering tangible solutions that have been adapted to realities in the field.
Dual target audiences
YouthIn was designed for two complementary target audiences:
- Organisations looking to update their practices to better include young people
- Young people looking to get involved in international solidarity organisations or projects
Three strategic objectives
1. Help sector stakeholders improve their skills
Develop the skills of professionals and volunteers so they can become true facilitators of youth engagement, able to support and maximise their participation in projects and organisations.
2. Build up and adapt a set tools
Improve the quality and variety of resources organisations are able to offer.
3. Promote knowledge sharing
Create an environment that encourages sector stakeholders to share their experiences and learn from each other, from employees to volunteers, non-profit managers and young people involved at the local, regional, national and European levels.
Expected impact
By using this systemic approach, YouthIn aims to create a more inclusive ecosystem where young people are not just on the receiving end of support, but are able to serve as genuine change agents in the field of international solidarity.
